The Valley of the Shadow

Okay bloggy friends....wish me luck! I'm going in!

That's right. I'm going to open the file I closed somewhere around the end of August. I am hoping to find something like this:

Yes! Something good! Something worthy! Just be careful....don't mess it up.......

But I am terribly afraid it will be more like this:

Yikes! What was I thinking?? Get me the ________outta here!!! How could I have ever thought this was going to work.

So, if you hear a strange rumbling and the walls start to shake, don't worry about me. Just try and save yourself.

I'm going in.

(Insert Raiders of the Lost Ark Music here.)

I'm sure it will be fine. Everything always turns out okay in Raiders of the Lost Ark, doesn't it?

Ha! Love this. Never forget you're the Story Queen. There is magic in that file and you will reveal it.

By now you must have opened your file. I hope you found treasure!

Progress so far:

1. Beginning=chuck-worthy (as in I will probably chuck it...ewww.)

2. Middle=swoon! I wrote lots ot stuff I don't even remember....and I love it! (insert the really good Indy music here.)

3. End=what?

So, there you have far. Thanks for thinking positive thoughts as I go to wrestle the snakes.

snakes? why'd it have to be snakes?

You are too funny! I'm sure you'll work your magic and make it fabulous.

What a perfect analogy. Sometimes just going back to work on the book I was working on yesterday feels as forboding as a giant boulder about to run me over. Sometimes it just feels too big for me. I love Indiana Jones!

Lol -- sometimes the middle is the hardest part!

OK, if we don't hear from you tomorrow we're sending someone in after you. I''ll send Laura. She's totally into Temple's of Doom.

Progress: Have finished major revisions (whew.)

Six the sixth one the best. It's the cleanest.

Writing synopsis whilst all is fresh in the brain.....although the brain may not be so fresh right now. I clicked on the mouse five times and nothing happened in my text....I thought I was hitting the space bar....?

Thanks for the kind thoughts. I think there might be daylight somewhere sneaking in through a crack.

Hey that's my all time favorite movie!!!! He gets the ark, he gets the girl, and saves the world. What can go wrong?

So funny. Just make sure not to write about any snakes.
