Tell the Truth Tuesday-Truth or Dare Version

I don't usually do this sort of thing...like have a plan for my blog or anything....but since it IS Tuesday, and I've got stuff to tell.....

1. My daughters get home from China TODAY! The house was far too quiet without them. I am so excited. I think they probably will never be allowed to leave again....ever. Maybe I'll build a wing onto the house, over the neighbor's garage, so they can live there with their own families someday...perhaps tents in the backyard...nope, too far away...
(Anyway, I have had only little snippets of contact with them and it nearly did me in.)

2. I got to arrange the name cards at the Gala Event on Saturday Night for the Rolling Readers....and yes, somehow my card ended up next to Gerald McDermott....still not sure how that happened:). And yes, I wore the tiara. Except for to and from the car, which would have looked weird. (I'll post pictures soon.)

3. If you wear a tiara to a gala, the appetizer boys (gentlemen who walk around with Trays of Food) will call you Princess....which, sad as it may seem, was strangely fun.

4. The pace of summer is throwing me for a loop. What is it they say about idle hands and the devil's workshop....? Anyway, I have taken to daring some of my bloggy friends to complete certain tasks. Just for fun. Mostly the tasks are writing ones. So, if your e-mail is on your blog and if you see something in your inbox that says the DARE...well, you've been warned. (If you are hankering for a dare, or if you want me to dare someone else, leave me a note in the comments. I'm an equal opportunity darer.)

5. I found a new place for my tiny little desk and I'm not sure if I like it or not. Why is it that the person who uses a desk more than anyone else in the house has the tiny little thing which is actually a TV tray?

6. I thought I would probably finish the revisions on Nix today...but now I am not certain....there is this one scene that is giving me fits.

How is your Tuesday? I dare you to tell it true!

Hi, Princess, you wear that tiara well. And, yay, for daughters arriving home. They will be filled with stories and you will be filled with joy.
Now that you've dared me, I'm going to need to carry my notebook EVERYWHERE so I can keep up with my wayward princess.
Tuesday truth? I'm doing some fine-tuning of a Sea Daughters chapter with the help of Lydia Kang's amazing medical tips. Then it's off to crit group.

Oh, I want to hear what other persona dares people got! :)

Tricia-I can't wait to read Sea Daughters when you are ready....and the notebook is a good idea. Never know where that bouncy little princess might show up!

Corey-Now Corey, I cannot divulge such information...but I am planning on three dares a day...so far I have dared six lucky (or not so lucky, depending) bloggers, and four have taken the dare. The others I am not cure about....More dares tomorrow!

Dude, I would love to be called princess all the time. Who knew all it took was a tiara? Glad your girls are home and you had a great time.

So glad your girls are coming home. And yay for the dares -- talk about a kick in the butt!!

Okay, I'm trying that Tiara thing the next time I go to a gala. And I am very curious about these dares. Can't wait to find out who your victims are. ;)

Elana-you could totally rock a tiara with your cool hair!

Sherrie-I am so glad they are back...they have some great stories!
Enjoy your dare!

Shannon-Uh-oh....you better be watching your inbox in the next couple of days.....(every dare is personalized, you know.)

You need to tell those boys that you are the QUEEN! :o) The Dare is such a good idea and I must agree that desks should reflect the amount of use, your Highness.

And lastly, take a long bath... I'm told it solves all story problems. LOL.

Yeah! You wore the tiara. :)

And, I am a total victim of the idle hands syndrome. Your summer goals make me feel like a total slug. I need some of your gumption!ino

I'm glad you wore the tiara. :o)

And my Tuesday was all about cleaning my house because my little bro is here for a week. Okay and I wrote a three piece poem.

Thanks for the dare!

I'm glad you wore the tiara! Maybe we should all wear one more often. If it got me appetizers any faster at events, that would be worth it.

I gave you an award on my blog, btw!

Jackee-I actually did correct one and tell him I was the queen! But then I just decided to accept princess...I mean, you don't see too many princesses with grey hair!

Kim-I am thinking of wearing a tiara everywhere....(not really, my girls would DIE).

Lydia-Thanks for the award! And I don't know if the appetizers came my way more often or not...I ended up having to stalk the poor boys from behind, checking out the tray first, you know. (I felt guilty if they offered something and I said no...go figure.)

Thank you for the dare, Your Majesty! And you are one lady who knows how to rock a tiara. GOOD for you. :)
