Dear July.....please stay...

Dear July,

Please stay.

I am not ready for you to leave and force me to hang out with August. It's not that I don't like August....(actually, August is my second to least favorite month...) but it's just that August signifies the end of Summer......*sob.*

So, I was thinking, maybe you could stick around a little longer. I mean, whose brilliant idea was it that a month can have only 31 days? How about 40? Is that so much to ask? I only talking about 9 more days. 9.

That's a piddly little amount, really, when you think about it in the context of the history of time and all. It doesn't really even qualify as an inkling.

I'll cook for you...maybe a nice Sunday Roast...or how about some jambalaya? Strawberries for breakfast?

Don't make me beg, July....begging is never pretty, even for dogs.

I'd stick around longer if you asked me to.

Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaasssssseeeee......(insert whining tone used by my 11 year-old to get her way).

Really?

Okay, then it's settled.

More July for Everyone!!!!

(you can thank me later.)

Awww, I share your thoughts EXACTLY! I love summer. I hate for it to leave. I love Fall, too, though, so at least there's something to look forward to. Winter can just go away.

I don't much care for July over August, but I sure do need some extra time to finish all my work, so I'm all for extending the month!

We all owe you.

Normally I would agree with you, but not this year...I'm ready to be done with July. Two floods in my house this month...August is going to be awesome...

Michelle-I love Fall best of all...but I am just not ready for it yet. Fall is always such a whirlwind, and I need a little bit more slowwwwwwwww.

Beth-Shhhh....I don't love them either....but I need them to hang around. Too much to do!

Tricia-You WILL!!!! (After all, I ordered extra July for you!)

Renee-I knew I wasn't alone!

Jemi-Help yourself. Take as much as you want!

Sharon-Ugh! Poor you! Alright, while the rest of us hang out in July, feel free to jump ahead to August. Leave that stinky old flood behind!

I'm all for more time in the summer (as long as it's not hot). Thanks for asking the powers that be!

Does it make your summer brighter to know you won the World Series of Books?

July stays a little longer if you ignite explosives (usually fireworks will do) as a burnt offering.
Just keep a fire extinguisher close by.

Jackee-Just doing my part.

Shannon-In the blink of an eye, we'll be at it again....sob.

Beth-yay! yay! So cool! I have won more things as a blogger than I have in the whole entire rest of my life (I am not counting my time on the Speech and Debate Team...yeah....I was a cool kid.)

Lydia-Yikes! Fireworks are illegal in San Diego county...

Yeah, considering my birthday is the last day of the month and I'm WAY past looking forward to it, I'd be happy for July to dawdle as long as it wants :)

Oh, but I have to say, I do not want July to stay. Because here in Australia July is winter. And I want Summer to come QUICKLY! :))
