Winners and Strange Dreams

I used the Sugar Bowl of despair to help me determine the winner of SOMEWHERE TODAY: a BOOK OF PEACE. (Okay, so I just put lots of little slips of paper in the bowl and picked one out.)
The winner is:

Kelly Polark!!

So, Kelly, drop me an e-mail at storyqueen at gmail dot com with your address and I'll get your book and bag out to you asap.

And now for something completely different:

Recent Strange Dreams

1. I dreamed I was being pursued by a strange little wolf boy. He was kind of terrifying. (Understatement, in the dream I was COMPLETELY terrified of him...however when I picture him now, he looks like Max from WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE but with blond hair. Meh.)
There was a moment in the dream when he was outside and suddenly he put his hand/paw against a dark window pane. I just might have the kind of noise you make in a dream when you are really hoping someone will wake you up. Not quite a scream, but.....kind of a weird breathing, snorting noise.

2. I dreamed Neil Gaiman and his wife came over for dinner but I lived in a treehouse instead of my real house. Living in a treehouse was COOL! However, I was too embarrassed to ask Neil to sign my copy of THE GRAVEYARD BOOK. Wha?
(If you are wondering what we ate, it was some kind of chicken with an orange-looking sauce...maybe a red curry. With rice. Neil and Amanda seemed to like it.)

3. I dreamed I was on a boat and I had to get down to San Diego, but the boat just wouldn't move. At all. (Woke up in a bad mood after that one, I can tell you.)

Um..yeah.

Strange dreams anyone?

I want to come to dinner in your treehouse!!! I won't mind at all if Neil and Amanda are there, too.

Congrats and mucho peace to Kelly.

Wolf boy sounds like he belongs in one of your books. Let him in and put him to work.

Yay! Thanks so much, Shelley! I am very honored to be the prize recipient!
Yes, agreed.
Wolfboy may be a character one day!
Dreams are strange. Darth Vader and Stormtroopers were in one, a fire in my laundry room in my childhood home in another, and a frightening falling into a large lake with my children dream.
Why can't I dream of Han Solo? :)

this cracks me up...

about a week ago I dreamed that I was chasing a little monkey on a broom through my house.

I tried to analyze it...but decided it was just bad meatloaf before going to bed :/

CONGRATS, Kelly!

Interesting dreams. Maybe they can be incorporated into a story or two?

I think living in a treehouse might be fun, as long as it were somewhere warm. We've been getting snow all day, so that wouldn't be good weather for living in a treehouse!

Tricia-I wish I would eat dinner in my treehouse, too!!! And I dunno about wolfboy....lots of wolves shifting their shape into boys these days. Now, if it was a hamster boy.....

Kelly-So glad you won! I'll have it in the mail to you probably on Wednesday. Gosh..you just reminded me that I haven't had a Star Wars dream in tooooo long. Maybe I ought to brandish the old lightsaber before bed this evening.

Tess-A monkey on a broom? I'd pay to see that!

Susanne-I dunno, an icy treehouse would be really, really beautiful. You'd just need one of those coats they wear in Antarctica or something.

OMG, I always have strange dreams! Only too bad for me, none of them would make good books.

I had weird dreams last night. Stale bread was involved.
You don't want to know the rest, it's too weird.
