Holiday Contest!!

Okay, so here's the deal.

I'd like to give the gift of reading (as in one of my books!) to a classroom.  Reading aloud to children is one of the best presents a teacher can give to his/her students.  And in these days of high stakes testing, sometimes the practice of sitting down and enjoying a book with children falls by the wayside.

This.Must.Not.Happen.

Please win us!  We love for our story to be read by children!

So, if you'd like to win a copy of the latest Good Knight adventure, A GOOD KNIGHT'S REST, for your child's classroom, just enter below.  I am planning to go to the post office by December 16th to mail packages to my family and I can easily add one more to the stack.  I'll send it Priority, so hopefully the class can share the fun before the holiday break.

All you have to to do enter is to leave your email and tell me what your favorite holiday book is.

I'll start:  Charles Dicken's Christmas Carol.

Speaking of caroling....are those the elves from Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer getting ready to sing??

And I think there are some Santas battling in the corner!
Contest will run until Friday, December 2.  I will place all names in the Sugar Bowl of Despair and draw one lucky winner out.

I would love to win this for my mom's classroom! My favorite Christmas book is The Polar Express! I love how it reminds us of the power of childhood and belief in something magical.

I just bought one of your books for my kindergarten class and my son's first grade class to go with the teacher gifts! :) (So let another classroom enjoy!) PS. Do you do signed bookplates and if so can I send you a SASE to send me some???

And yes, I think all grades should have a daily read aloud going in the classroom. Just to let the kids sit back and enjoy a story with no pressure.

Well, technically my kid's classroom is our living room; but I have some awesome teacher friends I could give this to!

I'd have to say The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry (aka William Sydney Porter).

Since I'm not a teacher, I won't throw my name in the sugar bowl (although I can think of teachers to give it to!)
I think this is awesome of you to do, and I hope many parents and teachers are reading to their kids.
My favorite Christmas book is Star Mother's Youngest Child by Louise Moeri. I just love this tale of a crotchety old woman and a star child who falls to earth to experience one Christmas.

This would be so fun! I read one of your books to my son's class for his birthday last year and they LOVED it :D

I have a ton of favorite Christmas books but I do really love The Polar Express. The first time I heard it my mom bought it and had gotten each of us a bell :) Now I read it to my kids and give them a new bell to hang on our tree :)

I no longer have children in school (sigh), so please do not include my name in the drawing.

I just wanted to say that I think this is a wonderful idea. Good luck to all who are entered.

My kids are all in middle and high school, so this won't work for their classrooms. But best of luck to all who enter. It's such an adorable book!

It's more of a seasonal book than holiday, but I love The Snowy Day.

I'd love to win your book! If I don't win, I'll be buying anyway...
