I cannot believe I didn't know that today was Star Wars Day!!!
(Get it....May the 4th....May the Fourth....May the Force.....)
Anyway, Han Solo will never forgive me.
Sorry, Han.
Anyway...just gonna throw it out there that the Star Wars Saga is one of the coolest things in the universe. I remember seeing the first movie twice...at a time when I NEVER saw any movie twice. So cooooooool. (I even bought the paperback and read it a billion times).
George Lucas = good storyteller. (Especially in the first three, which are actually the second three....)
Favorite Star Wars character? Well, before Han Solo signed on as my inner editor, I kind of had a special thing for C3PO. I know, weird, huh?
hrh
P.S. I just realized that I missed out on an entire day of speaking like Yoda!!! Disappointed, I am. I am probably going to have to read The Strange Case of the Origami Yoda just to make me happy again.

Oh, man! That is so funny! I didn't know this either! My kids are all in bed so I can't share this with them til tomorrow... We are all Star Wars geeks in this house. I've loved the movies (and Han Solo) since they came out when I was a child. It's been so fun sharing them with our kids.
May the Fourth be with you also.
Shelly- You are so funny! I loved R2D2...(I wish I could speak r2ish.)
My friends and I had Star Wars names when we were teenagers (totally nerdy, right?) and I was C3P0 which makes me very awesome. Also, I had a biology professor in college that opened every semester in a jedi robe. Ha ha. Star Wars.
Why didn't I see your post earlier? I had no clue today was Star Wars Day either, I thought it was tomorrow and I was all sorts of confused because tomorrow is actually Cinco De Mayo, etc.
Made a right fool of myself on Twitter for that. But yeah. It's nearly over now.
Oh, I totally have to tell my 7 year old, but I think I won't! He's in bed for the night and he'll be bummed he missed it! Shouldn't that be pre-printed on our calendars or something! ;)

There's always next year. I'd love to read a Shelley/Yoda post.
Have you read any of Timothy Zahn's Star Wars novels?
Star Wars has a day?????
No way! Did you make that up? Too funny! Are you a Trekkie too?
Happy Belated Star Wars Day to you!
Love it! I wish I had read this post this morning. My son did an oral book report for his class on a Star Wars Clone Wars book, and he dressed like Luke Skywalker.
Star Wars was awesome. My children grew up memorizing lines from those films. May 4th, I'm going to remember that next year. LOL. Thanks for the chuckle.
Oh man. Star Wars is great. I'm completely partial to the original first three--now called four, five and six.
I totally love Yoda. And Han.

Super funny! And here I just thought May 4th was Cinco de Mayo Eve. ;)
Yeah, that Han Solo is pretty cute. I'm betting if I were a she-wookie, I'd think Chewbacca was pretty hot. But I'm not. So he's not. Thus, I vote for your inner editor.
Kelly-These aren't the droids you're looking for.
Sharon-Somebody get his walking carpet out of my way.
Jessie-I have a bad feeling about this.
LT-Afraid you are not. But you will be.
Hilary-Let the Wookie win.
Myrna-Luke, I am your father.
Stina-Help me Obi-wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.
Kim-Don't underestimate the force.
Amy-The force is strong with this one.
Kathi-Do or do not...there is no try.
SF-Judge me by my size, do you?
Dawn-Fear is the path to the dark side.
*Sorry, folks. I just had to use up all the Star Wars quotes I didn't get to say yesterday in the comments...none of them applied to what anyone wrote, but at least I got to say them...kind of.
Oh, I'm sad I didn't read this until now. How fun!
Oh, man! Missed out on that one I did too, yes. Forgive you, Han might not.
My favs were always R2D2 and then the Ewoks. Can you tell I was a young kid then?? :o)
Have a great weekend (and you have an award over at my blog)!
I have that book in my TBR pile and want to read it just to hear the yoda voice in my head (it would have to be in my head because it is perfectly performed there ... and not so much when I try to do it out loud).haha
and, I got your 'fourth' joke right away. clever you.
Don't feel bad! I missed it too.
PJ-I share your disappointment....well, there's always next year.
Jackee-I cannot figure out how to say thank you for the award in Yoda-speak! Maybe: Thank you for the award, I do....nah. Love the Ewoks!
Tess-I WISH I had made up the joke, but no. I'm just passing it on.
Laura-Well, at least misery loves company!
