I know I did.
And I am tired.
But no, wait, it can't possibly be a start of a new year. I didn't get any closure!!
I wanted more of this:
I didn't get time to play with the ornaments!! |
I think a purple chicken (Blanch the Bumpy Chicken, if you must know) just stumbled upon the manger, along with pictures of family from far away and I haven't had time to return her to the coop! |
And the Christmas villagers were just getting ready to do another carol! |
And the Darth Vader Flash Drive just arrived--I've got to have time to defeat him before 2012 starts! |
Come on, 2011!! I needed more of this! It's not fair to get to the good part of the year and then just leave like that! |
Ah, alas, the early morning twinklies. |
And I could have used a little more of this! (Actually, I still think I have some in the fridge--breakfast of champions!) |
Yeah, and 2011 would have used a few more lightsaber battles before the end. |
1. Read more.
2. Write more
3. Worry less.
But for all of you, my friends and readers out there, I am wishing you a year filled with thrills and excitement, with a heaping dose of peace and tranquility, just to balance everything out, you know?

Perfect wish, thank you, and the same hopes for you and yours. While I'm here, I'll have a bowl of that tortilla soup!
Heh, yeah Christmas seemed to fly by for me too. Where did the end of the year go? Oh well, Happy New Year!
And a happy 2012 to you!
Love your Christmas decorations. I don't know when I'll get to getting mine down and that's okay! (worry less) I'm enjoying a little down time until regular chaos starts again with school and all the after school activities on Wednesday.
My R2D2 flash drive is cowering in the corner now!
I love your wishes and I may just have to borrow them too! :) Have a wonderful 2012!
Christmas always comes and goes too fast. I thought it was because I work in a bookstore and I never have time to enjoy Christmas and suddenly it's over. But apparently it's that way for lots of people, including you!
Wishing you peace and happiness and plenty of writing time for 2012.
I like that. Write more. Read more. Worry less. I'm all for it. What a terrific year you've had! Can't wait to read your middle grade. :)
I know what you mean about the Christmas season running off too quickly. I like your simple goals and thank you for your good wishes (I appreciate the balance). But most importantly, light saber battles should definitely continue in 2012. :)
Love the read more, write more, worry less trio!
Happy New Year!
Hi, can i ask you something? It's a bit offtopic but... I'm looking for children books with such "scary" animal illustrations like wolf (or fox) eating pigs (or seven kids or Red Riding hood or birds in Chicken Little) or being pictured with a fat stomach. Have you seen any book of this sort? Any sort of help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Great blog, by the way ;)

*snert* love it! Is that some kind of tortilla soup?! YUM! I wish the same for you, my dear!
Yes to all of the above! The pictures are great, and I really need to focus on #3 more. Wishing you the best!
I can't believe 2011 is over. I wasn't even ready for the decorations and tree to come down, but my husband and kids put them away on Monday. :(
Here's to an awesome 2012!
Simple and perfect. Great list, it's kind of like mine! Okay, mine rambled a lot more, but still. It was kinda the same.
